Job description
As a Quality Service Employee, you, along with your colleagues, are responsible for inspecting the final products produced by St. Paul (melted cheese, analog melted cheese products, vegan products, grated products, snacks, and forms). You also ensure the inspection of all necessary raw materials and packaging.
Additionally, you conduct checks within the production locations, including internal calibrations of laboratory equipment, internal audits, monitoring of cleanliness (both visually, bacteriologically, and for allergen residues). You receive specifications for raw materials and auxiliary substances and assess their accuracy.
The results of your work are documented by you and your colleagues and reported to the quality manager and company management in a clear manner.
For this position, we are looking for a clear communicator who can work independently and accurately, and who enjoys contributing to our team in this attractive role. This is a full-time position (36 hours per week) in day shift.
You will report to the quality manager and primarily work in the quality laboratory. Here, you will find modern analytical equipment as well as specific machines for testing the functionality of our products, such as grating mills, various ovens (pizza ovens), fryers, etc.
This position allows for taking initiative to improve controls and procedures. You will maintain contact with colleagues from the quality service department, the quality manager, various production departments, logistics departments, and company management.
If you have at least an MBO 3 level/A2 level laboratory diploma, preferably MBO 4 in food laboratory or equivalent education or work experience, and you are interested in joining our team, please respond quickly.
Responsibilities include
- Analyzing final products such as Processed Cheese/Analog, grated products, snacks, and forms. Analyzing test production, analyzing final products for shelf life (THT), conducting incoming inspections of raw materials, auxiliary substances, and packaging materials.
- Performing visual inspections, testing samples, sending out samples (standard products).
- Managing laboratory equipment and materials, conducting rework after quality control.
- Performing audits, supporting the Quality Manager, supporting product development.
- Maintaining a clean workspace.
Profile
- You can work independently and accurately.
- You are also a team player.
- You are familiar with the MS Office package.
- You have a good command of Dutch and preferably English.
- You are flexible and work in both Lokeren (BE) and Sint Jansteen (NL).
- You possess a driver’s license.
